Mark O'Gara
Mr. O'Gara brings 24 years of progressive experience leading and providing change management to service providers and large enterprises. He possesses a broad experience in voice, data, applications and wireless with 14 years of international experience. In his current role as Senior Vice President of Internal Computing and Business Technology Operations at America Online, Mr. O’Gara completely revamped and reconstituted the leadership for a 300-person organization, reducing expenses by 15% and capital spending by $40 million dollars. Prior to joining American Online, Mr. O'Gara served as a consultant to investors of international-oriented start up companies. He assisted these companies by conducting due diligence for two voice-over-IP service providers. He also refined the business model and architecture for an Internet Service Provider. Previously Mr. O'Gara held Chief Technology Officer positions at both Ganley International and Winstar International. He deployed the voice and data network infrastructure to support rapid company growth and expansion into 23 markets. Prior to these positions, Mr. O'Gara held a Program Manager position at Sprint International where he was responsible for managing the operational merger of Sprint International, Deutsche Telekom, and France Telecom.
Mr. O'Gara has operated and maintained a global network of 3,000 data network elements, 40 voice switches and 2,200 application services which supported 18,500 users with a 500 person technical support staff.
Mr. O'Gara holds a M.B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of Central Texas and a B.S. in Engineering from West Point.
