Dan Harding

Mr. Harding has 20 years of experience in technology sales and expert qualifications in all areas of executive sales leadership, business strategy, marketing, P&L oversight, and human resources management. Throughout his career, he has held positions overseeing various sales organizations ranging from pre-revenue to over $500M and has consistently played a major role in their growth. Mr. Harding has worked with sales organizations, including UUNET, dynamicsoft (acquired by Cisco), Exodus, Cable and Wireless, USA (Acquired by Savvis), Parallels, and RightScale to deliver millions of dollars of revenue through multiple sales channels.

Before joining The Heiden Group, Mr. Harding worked in the virtualization and cloud computing market for more than nine years. He ran enterprise sales for Parallels where he grew the team’s productivity by 400 percent. He held the position of VP of WW Sales for Fortisphere, a venture-backed virtualization company and finished up his tenure in the cloud computing space with RightScale, the leader in cloud computing management. Strategies devised under his leadership increased sales force productivity by 500 percent.

Mr. Harding also served as Vice President at Cable and Wireless where he led a web hosting and Internet sales team. He also held various sales management roles during his eight years at UUNET, where he finished out his tenure as VP of Carrier Sales leading a team that focused on customers such as ATT, Verizon, BellSouth, Earthlink, HP and Dell.

Mr. Harding also has experience in the sales optimization space and in 2008 was featured by Anneke Seley in her book Sales 2.0 for his work leveraging social networking and software and a service (SAAS) to strengthen sales and increase profitability. He also served as President of the DC chapter of the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals (AA-ISP).
